Port Blair, Dec. 27: The Andaman and Nicobar Administration observed the 16th Anniversary of Tsunami on 26th December 2020 at the Tsunami Memorial, Andaman Water Sports Complex, Aberdeen.
Floral tributes were offered at the memorial to pay homage to the departed souls at 0800 hrs by the Deputy Commissioner (SA) and Superintendent of Police (SA) on behalf of the Administration.
Keeping in view of the detailed SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India dated 22/12/2020 for surveillance and response to the new variant of SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19, no gathering was scheduled at the memorial.
