Port Blair, Jan 11: Since 1985, India has been celebrating the National Youth day on January 12 every year to mark the birth anniversary of the social reformer philosopher and great thinker Swami Vivekananda. On this day we remember the philosophy and ideas of the Vivekananda, who brought a change in the thought process of the Youth. A mighty spiritual personality, Swami Vivekananda became popular in the western world after his famous speech at the World’s Parliament of Religions held in Chicago in 1893.
On the occasion of National Youth Day, the Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has extended his warm wishes to the youths. This special day exclusively celebrates the power and potential of our youths. It is a day to remember the real youth icon, Swami Vivekananda who introduced the world to the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga.
The National Youth Day is a day for youths to contribute towards the Nation. The youth of any country is the strength of their motherland. Their participation in various social reforming services is always appreciable. Swami Vivekananda had advised the youth to move forward. “Arise Awake and stop not till the goal is reached”, said the Swamy.
