Port Blair, Feb 3: In a meeting of CPI (M) Party Members, Party Supporters and others held at Shaheed Bhavan, the Party State Headquarter at Anarkali, on 2nd February, 2022, an Election Committee with Shri D. Laxman Rao as Convener has been formed. The Election Committee will coordinate with various committees of the party and mass organisations and will decide putting up candidates in the forthcoming Municipal and Panchayat-raj elections in the islands.
The Committee will be responsible for the election campaign, finalizing the candidature, coordination with other organisations and political parties, coordination with the Administration in the matter of elections.
