Port Blair, Feb.4: Consequent on approval accorded by Competent Authority, Classes for Std. VI, VII , VIII & IX in all management (Govt., Govt. Aided, Private Unaided and Local Body) schools across Islands will reopen on alternate day basis with effect from 8th February, 2022 subject to certain conditions. All educational institutions have been directed to follow all COVID protocol and ensure COVID Appropriate Behavior.
Students will be permitted to attend school only with the written consent of parents/guardian. Physical attendance will not be compulsory and online instructions via the existing mode will continue. Meanwhile, for classes I to V teaching through existing online mode shall continue as usual.
Specific directions and standard operating procedures to be followed in the schools have been communicated to all the schools through Zonal Officers in order to comply with the COVID-19 protocols as well as to prevent the threat of spread of COVID-19.
