Port Blair, Feb 21: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to direct the concerned department for immediate repair and re-construction of the entire stretch of road from Tushnabad to Tirur, in order to ensure safety and convenience of the public.

In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that he has been approached by a large number of villagers of the region who have raised serious concern over the pathetic road condition between Tushnabad and Tirur village.

He mentioned that during his recent visit to Tirur Village of South Andaman, he has personally experienced the pain and struggle of the general public, who have to travel daily through such pathetic roads, which is not only causing severe damages to vehicles but also posing serious risk to the safety of the general public.

He added that all classes in local schools have started from 21st February 2022 and hence lots of students will also have to use the same roads to reach the nearby schools.

Moreover patients also have to use the same road to reach PHC Tushnabad and hence they undergo huge suffering, added the MP requesting for immediate repairs.
