Diglipur, March 13: A Career Guidance Programme was organized under ‘Samgra Shiksha‘ at Govt. Model Senior Secondary School Sita Nagar, Diglipur on 11th March. Around 140 students of class X and XII (Science) participated in this programme.

A total five sessions were conducted, in which Shri Anil Kumar, Lecturer Govt. Polytechnic, Sita Nagar, Dr. Amal Roy, Senior Veterinary Officer, Shri Vipul Roy, Forest Range Officer, Shri Swapan Kumar Mallick, Incharge-Industries Promotion Officer, Diglipur and Shri Sujan Das, Branch manager, Stat Bank of India, Diglipur Branch explained about the scope of job opportunities in their respective fields. They also threw light on the various courses through which the students can empower themselves to be eligible for the jobs in the different streams and courses in future, after passing class XII.

Earlier, the Principal-Incharge of the School, Shri S. Santosh Kumar while welcoming the guest experts, called upon the students to draw benefits from such programme. The Incharge of ‘Samgra Shiksha’ Unit of the School Shri Ashutosh Roy and Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, GTT (Maths) also addressed the students, emphasizing on the need of having clear insight about the streams, courses and departments they would be aspiring to join after their School or College Education.

The aim of conducting such programme under ‘Samagra Shiksha’ is to provide guidance to the students in selecting a course from a range of subjects offered by the colleges, exploring their life skills through Experimentation, polish their thinking and decision making abilities, problem solving skills, and to understand the importance of team work.

The students participated in the programme enthusiastically and their queries were answered by the experts to their satisfaction.
