Port Blair, April 8: Demanding regular and sufficient supply of water in JNRM girls hostel, the NSUI State President, M.A Sajid submitted a memorandum to the JNRM Principal on Thursday.

In the Memorandum he stated that every day, the inmates have to call their local guardians to bring drinking water for them. No remedial action was taken by the hostel authorities concerned despite repeated plea by the students. Sajid said that the life of students have become tough, especially during exam days.

The inmates were even forced to use water from the well present inside hostel premises. The well is not clean and is extremely polluted with small particles of dust. The well water stinks and looks unfit for using in daily chores, the NSUI President added.
