Port Blair, April 12: As the JNU clash and communal violence reported on the day of Ram Navami in the University hostel, the National Students Union of India's State President, A&N Islands, Mr. M.A Sajid has condemned the incident and expressed concerns over the matter and said that such incidents are dangerous for the educational institutions of the country.

On Sunday, two groups of students clashed at the Jawaharlal Nehru University's Kaveri Hostel allegedly over serving of non-vegetarian food in the hostel mess on Ram Navami. Six students were injured in the violence.

The Delhi Police Monday has lodged a complaint against unknown students of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) over the violence in the university.

Sajid alleged that the ABVP members attempted to stop non-vegetarian food from being cooked and served in the mess. He said that the ABVP members stopped the mess vendor from supplying chicken and attacked him in the afternoon.
