Port Blair, April 12: The Hindu Seva Sangh in collaboration with Hindu Rastra Shakti, A&N Islands organized a "Shobha Yatra" from Chunnabhatta to Chouldari and a cultural programme at Chouldari on the divine occasion of the Ramnavami on 10th April 2022.

The rally commenced from Sri Ram Mandir, Chunnabhatta via Bambooflat, Stewertgunj, Wimberlygunj, Ferrargunj, Caddlegunj, Tushnabad, Ograbranj, Port Mort and concluded in Chouldari. A massive 11,500 devotees participated in the rally which was 4km long and consisted of bikes, cars, jeeps, autorickshaws and mini trunks.

A cultural programme was organized after the rally at Chouldari where the children of “Shishu Bala Nritya Acadmy, Hasmatabad,” performed cultural dance. A devotional song was performed by Mrs. Shyne, Ravi Srinu and Deepu group.

Mr. Abhay Kumar, Convenor, HSS; Mr. Rakeshwar Lal, President, HRS; Mr. Anshuman Roy, Youth Secretary, HRS; Mr. Prakash Adhikari, ZP Member, Guptapara and several members of HSS and HRS were present on the occasion and also addressed the audiance.

Abhay Kumar said that the rally was marshalled by two young girls namely Miss. Rekha Biswas, R/o. Shoal Bay -19 and Miss. Neha Mazumdar, R/o. Bhatubasti both members of HSS,  reflecting Nari Shakti and the stature of Women in Hindu Culture. He said that this sort of magnificent rally shows true devotion toward Lord Ram and unity among Hindus. He thanked the people, HSS and HRS members to make the rally successful. He also thanked A&N Police for constant support and help to maintain the law and order during the rally.

Speaking to the devotees, Mr. Angshuman promised to have a much larger celebration in subsequent years to come. He expressed his gratitude towards the GP Chouldari, GP Tushnabad and GP Wandoor for the support to organize the Cultural Programme. Mr. Prakash Adhikari, ZP Member, Guptapara also spoke to the devotees present on the occasion.
