A&N Administration has Provided a Single Window for Film Shooting Permissions: Anchipaka

Port Blair, April 14: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS today inaugurated the office of Prince Film, at RGT Road, the agency which has collaborated with Netflix for the series Kalapani.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Suneel Anchipaka said that the Andaman & Nicobar Administration wishes to encourage film shooting in Andamans. For this, a single window system has been put in place for the for applying for permissions, which otherwise was a tedious process earlier. The DCSA lauded the efforts of Prince Film for taking the initiative to get Netflix into Andaman for the shoot.

Shri Keval Shah, the collaborating producer of the film to be shot in Andaman on the occasion acknowledged that the Administration has been very cooperative when they approached for the film shoot in the islands. He also hoped that this film will open up the gateway for more producers to opt Andaman as a film shooting destination.

The occasion was also graced by Rani Fathima of Nancowry who felicitated the DC, South Andaman.

Speaking to Andaman Chronicle, Shri Rayhaan Pasha of Prince Film said that the agency wishes to promote the beauty of the islands while helping in generating livelihood opportunities for the islanders and providing a platform to the talents of A&N Islands. This will also help boost tourism in the islands.
