Port Blair, April 20: Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Secretary (RD) along with Director (RD), Senior Officers of Engineer Wing of PRI, Pradhan Mithakari, Pradhan Namunaghar and other PRI members conducted field inspection to check the status of ongoing works related to construction of rural road from “SH-12 to Dundus Point Jetty road (158 Mtrs) via Mithakhari Jetty, sluice gate and animal husbandry colony” under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Kojana-II (PMGSY-II).
The Secretary (RD) while reviewing the progress of the works directed the contractor to complete the work before the upcoming monsoon season. The Engineering Wing was also directed to supervise the works and submit the progress on weekly basis to him.
Thereafter, the team visited the ongoing work being taken up under RURBAN scheme viz. “C/o Boating complex cum guest house at Mithakhari-I near seashore under Gram Panchayat Mithakhari.”
The Secretary (RD) directed the Director (RD) to inspect the PMAY-G house site at Kodiyaghat under Gram Panchayat Beodnabad along with State and Block level staff, where construction of houses is going on in full swing and the beneficiaries have assured to complete the work by 15th May 2022.
The MGNREGA team of the Prothrapur Block was directed to take up the work for development and beatification of the site with plantation of fruit bearing trees & flower plants as well as construction drains & pond near the site.
