Port Blair, May 5: A new Gymnasium with modern equipment was inaugurated at Police Training School, Prothrapur by Shri Anil Shukla, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police and dedicated for the use of A&N Police Personnel today 05th May 2022.
The Gymnasium has been set up in the Police Training School to enhance the fitness level of recruit constables as well as in-service Police personnel. It has been equipped with Treadmill, Spin Bike, Elliptical Cross Trainer, Multi-gym, bars & weights, etc. and set up in an air-conditioned room. The Gymnasium has been inaugurated by Shri Anil Shukla, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, A& N Islands in presence of Shri S.K. Jain, IPS, Inspector General of Police (L&O), Shri Vijay Singh, IPS, DIGP (AP), Smt. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, Principal, PTS, Shri Michael Raj, Vice Principal, PTS and other senior officers of A&N Police.
Shri Anil Shukla, IPS directed the officers present in the function to encourage all police personnel to maintain a healthy lifestyle. He emphasized upon the need of Police personnel to be healthy & fit and use this modern Gym facility for achieving the same. He further lauded the efforts of officers and staff of Police Training School in setting up the Gymnasium and also directed them for apt usage & maintenance of the facility.
