Port Blair, May 6: Heavy rainfall (7-11 cm) likely to occur at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands while very heavy rainfall (12-20 cm) likely over one or two places in A&N Islands on 8th and 9th May 2022.
Wine speed of 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph followed by wind speed of 30-40 kmph gusting to 60 kmph likely to be experienced in the islands on 8th and 9th May 2022 respectively.
In anticipation of formation of depression over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood and likely intensification of the system, squally wind speed exceeding 50 kmph is very likely over Andaman Sea and it neighbourhood. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea till 9th May 2022.
