Port Blair, May 22: As part of Island Music Festival, Kala Kendra Society and Department of Art & Culture organized a Patriotic Songs Competition for tourists and visitors in the precincts of the historic National Memorial Cellular Jail, Port Blair on 21st May 2022.
A good number of tourists and visitors enthusiastically participated in the competition. The participants presented songs with passion, confidence and patriotic fervour. Smti Ananya Karak, expert from Sur Saptak Cultural Organisation was invited as a Judge for the competition.
The first prize was bagged by Ms. Sunita from Orissa, while Master Brij Mohan from Orissa and Master Akhil from Visakhapatnam bagged second & third prize respectively.
The programme concluded with the patriotic song presented by Smti Ananya Karak. Winners were awarded on the spot.
