Port Blair, May 22: The 13th KIIT International Chess Festival 2022 began today morning at KIIT University Campus, Patia, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
More than 700 players from India and abroad are participating in three different categories in this prestigious event. One player from Andaman & Nicobar Islands viz. Sayansh Jindal of class IV of Carmel Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair is also participating in Category B where around 340 players are playing.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble MP, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT & KISS University in presence of Ranjan Mohanty, Joint Secretary, All India Chess Federation (AICF) and other dignitaries.
