Port Blair, June 3: The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India had approved the logo design of the most renowned designer of these islands Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram for celebrating the World Bicycle Day 2022 on 3rd June 2022.
It is a matter of great pride for the islands that the World Bicycle Day 2022 logo has been displayed all over the country to mark the day including at New Delhi where Hon’ble Sports Minister, Shri Anurag Thakur graced the occasion.
Shri Jeevan is working as Section Officer in the ICMR-RMRC, Port Blair and beside committed towards his official responsibilities, he also proved to be an emblem illustrator and has been providing services purely on honorary basis. His aesthetic services have been of great help for many Governmental organizations and he has earned several appreciations at the national level for designing logos for International and National events including departmental insignias.
Jeevan is well-known for designing the basic design of 75 rupees coin unveiled by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India at Port Blair on 30 Dec 1943 and also designing the official insignia of Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu Police.
