Port Blair, June 5: The Middle Andaman Area Committee of CPI (M) conducted corner meetings and mike announcement on 31st May 2022 at different parts of Middle Andaman on various issues concerning the people in general and those living in Middle Andaman.  

Addressing these meetings, Shri Nikunjo Biswas, State Secretariat Member of the Party criticized the BJP-led central government for the unchecked price rise of petrol, diesel and LPG and said that Modi government is not   at all bothered on the sufferings of the people.  He said that the Middle Andaman continues to remain an under-developed area despite making tall claims by the ruling party and Administration. There is no industry in the North & Middle Andaman District which can provide any kind of job to the local youths.  

Addressing the corner meetings, Shri Rahul Dev Mridha, State Committee Member of the CPI (M) expressed concern over the increasing unemployment in the islands.  He said that the Central government controlled Andaman & Nicobar Administration is not taking any steps to fill the nearly 10,000 posts lying vacant in various departments under the Administration.  

Shri Prakash Sardar, Secretary, Middle Andaman Area Committee of the Party and Shri SR Mridha, Area Committee Member also addressed these meetings.  The meeting evoked good public response and support among the villagers.
