Port Blair, June 6: A cycle rally was organised yesterday on 5th June at around 2:30 PM by Nai Manzil (NGO) in active participation from Nehru Yuva Kendra. The rally was to commemorate 75th year of Independence which is being celebrated as Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Along with Shri. P Abdul Basheer, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram, office bearers of Nehru Yuva Kendra were present to flag off the rally. Shri Kundan Lall, Deputy Director, NYK, Port Blair along with Shri Alphonse Toppo, Deputy Director, NYK, Katchal grace the occasion. A large number of young participants took part in the rally, which started from Kadakachang Junction and culminated at Indoor stadium at Nayapuram. Dr. Sunita Patil (Director Vedant Education) also attended the event. Certificates were also distributed among the participants who took part in the rally.
