Member of Parliament Urges Administration for Preventive Measures Against Dengue

Port Blair, June 9: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of A&N Administration to issue necessary directions to the Health Department and Port Blair Municipal Council to step up anti-dengue drives by forming quick action teams and also spread massive awareness among the public against Dengue.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament pointed out that there is a spike in Dengue cases in the South Andaman region.

He added that dengue is preventable by avoiding mosquito bites and hence there is a need to spread awareness among masses to take necessary precaution against this mosquito-borne viral disease. He requested the Chief Secretary to issue necessary directions to the Health Department and Port Blair Municipal Council to step up anti-dengue drive.
