BJP Government is Trying to Divert Attention of People Against its Misgovernance: ANTCC Leaders

Port Blair, July 21: As a part of the nationwide agitation, the District Congress Committee, South Andaman under the direction of ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder on 21st July 2022 staged a protest rally to condemn the decision of the Enforcement Directorate to summon Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for questioning in the National Herald case. The rally started from Gandhi Bhawan to Gandhi Statue and returned back to Gandhi Bhawan.

Led by DCC President Shri. V.K Abdul Aziz, party leaders and workers holding placards against the Centre, shouted slogans urging the ED not to work under the political pressure of the BJP.

Speaking during the protest, Aziz alleged that the Modi government by issuing summon to AICC President Sonia Gandhi is trying to divert the attention of people against mis-governance of the BJP government. He alleged that the BJP-led central government only for their political vendetta is harassing their party leaders.

AICC member Smt. Shanta Laxman Singh, Former ANTCC Vice-President Shri. Hamid Ali, Senior Leader Shri. Sanjay Chowdhary, ANTCC Spokesperson Shri. A. Tamilselvan, Smt. Marshala Dung Dung, Seva Dal Chief Organizer Shri. T. Wajith, Minority Department Chairman Shri. John Robert, OBC Department Chairman Shri. R.K Raj, Mahila Congress South Andaman Coordinator Smt. Zubaida Begum, Senior leader Shri. Mohd. Jawed, PBMC Councillors Smt. Mangayakarasai, Up-pramukh Ferrargunj, Shri. Simson and congress leader Shri. Sharif were among the leaders who participated in the agitation.
