Port Blair, July 26: As a part of 73rd Van Mahotsav celebration, 2022 the Middle Andaman, Forest Division organized a Mini Marathon under the theme RUN FOR BETTER TOMMOROW “Save Forest, Save Planet Earth” on 26/07/2022 at 0630hrs. The marathon was flagged off by Shri. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman, which commenced from the Forest Check Post Rangat and culminated at Divisional Forest Office, Middle Andaman Hawamahal, via Forest central nursery Parnashala covering a distance of 07Kms.
About 76 participants including all the local officers & staffs, general public, school students participated in the Mini Marathon with a lot of enthusiasm. In male category Shri. Yash Kumar Kerketta won the Gold Medal, Shri. Suresh Halder won the Silver Medal & Shri. Sweth Majhi won the Bronze Medal.
Similarly in female category Smti. Mahima Bai won the Gold Medal, Smti. Anamika Toppo won the Silver Medal and Smti. Kiran Barla won the Bronze Medal.
Shri. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman also awarded certificate of participation to all the participants who participated in the Mini Marathon.
