Port Blair, Aug 7: A bike rally was organised today from Bambooflat jetty to Wimberlygunj mini stadium to create awareness among the people on the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign of the Govt. of India and to encourage the residents to celebrate the 75th Independence Day with enthusiasm.
The bike rally was flagged off by Shri. Sarvanan, Principal, Laksh Public School, in presence of Mr. Abhay kumar, Convener, HSS, and other general public. A large number of residents participated in the rally with their bikes displaying the National Flag.
After the rally was flagged off, it passed through the areas of Bambooflat, Nayabasti, Stewart Gunj and Wimberlygunj. Display of National Flags on a large number of motorcycles participating in the rally filled the onlookers with patriotism. The programme ended with the National Anthem. The officer and staffs of PS Bambooflat co-ordinated the entire Tiranga rally. The residents appreciated the organisers for organising the event.
