Port Blair, Aug 16: To mark the 33rd foundation day of Carmel Alumni (CALM), a free multi-specialty health camp was organised by the Carmel Alumni, Port Blair today at Carmel Sr. Sec. School, Port Blair. The camp was jointly organised by Apollo Clinic, Health4U and the AYUSH wing of the Directorate of Health Service, A&N Administration.

During the camp, more than 250 beneficiaries including students, their parents, grand-parents and staffs of Carmel School received free consultation from the physicians.  The physicians included Dr Gurmeet, Dentist, Dr. Shivani Bhatia, Orthodontics, Dr Dibankar Chaki, Chest Physician, Dr Manabika, Homeopathy, Dr Nazma, Homeopathy, Dr Vinita, Ophthalmology, Dr Nitesh Kaura, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr Nilesh Patil, General & Laproscopic Surgeon, Dr R Prasad, ENT Specialist, Dr Priyadarshini, Skin Specialist, Dr Kushal Baidya, Neuropsychiacrist & De-addiction Specialist and Dr Kunal Roy, Director Health4U & General Physician.  

On this occasion, Sr. Aphonsa AC, Principal & Patron of Carmel Alumni and Shri Manohar Lall, President of the Carmel Alumni have expressed their sincere gratitude to all the doctors who took out their valuable time to examine and provide free consultation to the beneficiaries.

Carmel Alumni, Port Blair is a body of ex-Carmelites which was formed on 12th August 1989 by a handful of ex-Carmelites, which included members from the first batch of Carmel (1975). Over the years the Alumni has grown manifold and has been instrumental in conducting various welfare activities for the school.
