Port Blair, Aug. 18: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,94,933 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23932 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 27, 788 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 186389.

A total of 5514 eligible beneficiaries were vaccinated in A&N Islands while the beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 5438 today. As per the District wise data received from DHS, 3814 beneficiaries were vaccinated in South Andaman District, out of which, 19 beneficiaries were above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 3752.

In North & Middle Andaman District 1538 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 1 beneficiary was above 18 years and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 1526.

In Nicobar District 162 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, and the number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine stood at 160.
