Port Blair, Sept 1: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands for having accorded two years age relaxation for all the Group-C posts of various departments under A&N Administration for filling up of the vacant posts by direct recruitment.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament mentioned that in his letter No. MP/ANI/Genl/2022/ 167 dated 16th August 2022, he had requested to grant age relaxation for recruitment to the post of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (E&M) of APWD which belongs to Group B (Non Gazetted) category of posts.
He added that as the above mentioned age relaxation of 02 years accorded vide A&N Administration’s Order No.2285 dated 1st September 2022 is applicable only for direct recruitment of the Group –C posts upto 31.12.2023, hence he requested that similar age relaxation for all the posts falling under the category of Group –B (Non Gazetted) under A&N Administration may also be considered.
In the event of grant of age relaxation for direct recruitment for Group – B (Non Gazetted) post, he pointed out that the last date for applying to the post of Junior Engineers (Civil) & (M&E) in APWD is 02.09.2022, which may also be considered for extension.
