Port Blair, Sept. 2: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has demanded to extend the last date for submission of online application for Group C posts upto 10th September 2022 to enable the over-aged and now eligible candidates to submit their application through online.
In a letter to the Lt Governor, A&N Islands, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI(M) A&N State Organising Committee while appreciating the decision of Lt. Governor to allow a one-time upper age limit exemption for the over-aged candidates for the Group C posts, brought to the notice of the Lt. Governor that the last date for submission of online application for the Group C posts is 2nd September, 2022. He informed the Lt. Governor that the office order conveying the approval of the Lt. Governor on the age relaxation was issued by the Administration on 1st September 2022. A number of candidates who are over-aged but now became eligible to apply for the above posts find it difficult to submit the application at such a short period of time of one day.
Ayyappan also told the Lt. Governor that many such candidates are required to obtain the Non-Creamy Layer Certificate from the Revenue Department which will take a few days.
