Port Blair, Sept. 14: The 11th Agriculture Census 2021-22 Phase-I training programme was conducted in the conference hall of Directorate of Economics & Statistics on Sept.12. Two resource persons from the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, New Delhi namely Shri Roshan Kumar Singh and Shri Pankaj Dutt imparted training to the Revenue Officials.
For the first time in India, the 11th Agriculture Census will be conducted in digitized mode. The resource persons briefed about the Agriculture Census through a power point presentation and later hands on training on data collection through Mobile based App/ Software and Web based App/ Software were also imparted to all the participants. About 50 officials attended the training. The Research Officer (AC) (i/c), Shri D.S. Clement Stephen briefed about the Agriculture Census.
