Port Blair, Oct. 2: Bhartiya Janata Party is celebrating the 72nd Birthday of Prime Minster, Narendra Modi from 17th September to 2nd October as Seva Pakhwada.
On the concluding day, today floral tributes were paid to two great leaders of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
A programme was organised at Gandhi park to pay tributes to the Father of the Nation and a similar programme was organised at the BJP headquarters, Middle Point to pay floral tributes to Lal Bahadur Shastri, the second Prime Minster of India.
After Paying floral tributes to both the leaders the office bearers of BJP, led by its State President, Shri Ajoy Bairagi went to Khadi Gram Udyog Bhawan, Middle Point and purchased khadi products to promote Vocal for Local.
The entire programme was attended by Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member, State Office Bearers, District and Morcha office bearers, Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad, South Andaman and Chairman Port Blair Municipal Council along with Senior Vice Chairperson Port Blair Municipal Council.
Similar programme were organised in other parts of the Islands by BJP workers. The entire programme was coordinated by Shri M.Vinod, State Vice President and Incharge of today’s programme.
