Port Blair, Oct. 11: The 4 day- long Induction Programme – ‘Diksharambh-2022 for DBRAIT students as part of AICTE mandate got underway today in its conference hall.  The event started with filling of self-analysis form by the students for self-introspection & knowing themselves in a rational way followed by ceremonial lighting of lamp by few parents and newly inducted students. The event was presided over by Dr. S.K. Vishvakarma, Prof. Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Indore as the keynote speaker.

In his address, the Professor highlighted about the glorious contribution of our ancient rishis & scholars in the field of Science, Technology & Medicines & Surgeries. He reiterated how Scientists & Engineers contributed to the Indian freedom struggle in their own way.  Dr. Vishvakarma called upon the students to equip themselves with latest technological advancement through several training/internship and not just restrict them to the conventional academics. 

Earlier, Dr. Jenson Daniel, HOD (Civil) welcomed the gathering & Smti Suraj Moli acquainted the students with MSBTE norms & regulations. 

Shri Dinesh Lall, CEO, Vyasn LLP and a final year B.Tech student of the institute spoke on developing Start-up Culture in the young generation. They are the first ever start-up recognized by DPIIT from this institute. In the afternoon session, the students were sensitized about various scholarship scheme of AICTE, the anti-ragging rules which was followed by brain games and sports events. Around 120 parents & students attended the programme.
