Port Blair, Oct. 14: The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration will be conducting befitting programmes to commemorate the anniversary of the establishment of Provisional Government of Azad Hind (PGI) in a week long programme from 17th to 23rd October 2022.  The aim of conducting these programmes is to create awareness among the general public especially among the young generation about the contribution of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in the Indian Freedom struggle. 

During the week, drawing competition and patriotic songs will be organized in schools on 17th and 18th October 2022 by Directorate of Education and College level elocution competition will be organized on 19th and 20th October 2022. On 21st October 2022 a felicitation programme will be conducted at Andaman Club to felicitate surviving members of INA / IIL personnel. Historians are also being invited to highlight the role of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Indian freedom struggle. 

During the week long function Quiz competition will be organized in GMS Homfraygunj & Nukkad Natak will be presented at various locations by school children on 22nd October 2022 on the theme “Netaji’s contribution in the freedom struggle”
