Port Blair, Oct. 16: The Directorate of Agriculture is implementing a Central Sector Scheme RKVY-RAFTAAR under which one project namely ‘Creation of Marketing Infrastructure’ is undertaken for post-harvest marketing support to farmers. Under the project, back ended subsidy is provided for purchase of Truck of 1.5-2.0 MT capacity for transportation of agricultural produce by the Farmers/ Farm Women/ST Farmers.  Registered FPG/SHG/FPO /NGO/CPC or CPS are also eligible to avail the benefit of the scheme. The subsidy under the scheme is 50% limited to Rs 2.50 lakhs per truck.

To avail the benefit of the scheme, eligible Farmers/ Farm Women/ST Farmers, registered FPG/SHG/FPO /NGO/CPC or CPS can contact the Zonal Officer of their area and apply in the prescribed format along with requisite documents.
