Port Blair, Oct. 16: The 9th Membership Verification in the BSNL to recognize the majority union through secret ballot was held in the country on 12th October 2022. The votes were counted and results were declared on 14th October 2022.
BSNL Employees Union has emerged as the single largest Union with 15311 votes (48.62%) of the total votes polled while the nearest rival NFTE polled 11201 votes (35.57%) all over India.
In Andaman & Nicobar Islands, BSNL Employees Union polled nearly 61% of the polled votes.
The membership verification takes place once in three years. The BSNL Employees Union has been elected as the largest union successively for the last 8 times in the country.
