Administration will Continue to Pursue Issues Pertaining to Students of DBRAIT, Assures CS

Port Blair, Oct. 20: A delegation of Opposition Parties in the Islands met the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration at his chamber today evening and discussed with him the issues pertaining to the students of DBRAIT. The Chief Secretary   informed the delegation the action taken by the A&N Administration to resolve the issue of DBRAIT students. 

The Chief Secretary informed the leaders of the opposition parties that the Administration with the intention to help the students had taken up the issues with the Pondicherry University. The delegation urged the Chief Secretary to take all possible measures to end the deadlock in the DBRAIT so that the students can appear at the examinations. 

The Chief Secretary has assured the delegation that the Administration will continue to pursue the issues pertaining to the students admitted in the B.Tech courses during the year 2020 and 2021 and Lateral Entry students  with the Pondicherry University. 

The delegation consisted of Shri Rangalal Halder, President, PCC, Shri G. Bhasker, Chairman, Congress Campaign Committee, Shri D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A&N State Organising Committee, Shri AL Kulandai, State Organiser, DMK, Shri  Manikya Rao,  President, Telugu Desam, A&N Islands, Shri Biji George, General Secretary, TDP and Smt Minoti Biswas of A&N Democratic Congress & Ex-Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad.
