Port Blair, Oct. 30: Under the devolution of powers, application have been invited from licensed fishers and fisheries Co-Op. Societies under the area/Jurisdiction of Zilla Parishad, South Andaman for purchase of fish transport vehicle and tricycle under the UT Plan of the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Port Blair. The Pattern of assistance is as follows:-

For General Fisherman: 50% subsidy to max of Rs. 2,00,000/- per fish transport vehicle

For Tribes Exclusively: 75% subsidy subject to max of Rs. 3,00,000/- per fish transport vehicle.

The fisherman should have the fishing and dinghy licence atleast for the last two consecutive years including current financial year and for tribes one year including the current Financial Year. The licensed fisher/society should not have availed assistance for similar asset in the past 8 years for fish transport vehicle. In case of Society, the society should be registered with the Registered of Co-operative Society, A&N Islands.

The Society should submit its audited statement of accounts for last 3 years alongwith its bye- laws. The aim and objective of the society should be related to the fisheries development activities.

The application should be submitted by the society through A & N Fisheries Co-Operative Federation alongwith a brief resume of the activity which they intend to take up by procuring the item together with a copy of resolution of the General Body/Managing Committee of the Society for the procurement of the assets. Proforma invoice from the supplier of the purchase of fish transport vehicle should be submitted to the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman.

Interested bonafide fishermen/ Tribes/Co- Operative Societies have been  requested to collect the prescribed application form and detailed terms & conditions of the  programme, from the Office  of the respective In- Charge of Fisheries Sub- Station, Campbell Bay, Hut Bay, Panchayat Samiti, Prothrapur and Ferrargunj, South Andaman and to submit the filled in application in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer/Zilla Parishad or the respective Fisheries- Sub- Station latest by 15th November, 2022.
