Port Blair, Oct. 30: The MPL 35th National Under-11 Open & Girls Chess Championships–2022 began on 29th October 2022 at H S V Global School, Sector-46, Gurugram, Haryana. The event is being organised by All India Chess Federation (AICF) under the aegis of Sports Authority of India, Ministry of & Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of India from 29th October 2022 to 06th November 2022.
More than 400 chess players across the country are participating in the prestigious event in which two young chess players from A&N Islands viz. J S Virat & M Tanish of VKV Lambaline Port Blair are participating.
Meanwhile, R Kashthuri Bhai, a student of GDM School, Middle points Port Blair is participating in an international FIDE Rapid Rating Chess tournament 2022 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
