Students of remote areas showcase their creativity in the Science, Maths and Art Exhibition

Diglipur, Oct. 30: Aiming to create scientific thinking and to develop aptitude in transforming the concepts into reality, the “Rashtreeya Avishkar Abhiyan” has been launched by the Government, throughout the country. Various projects have been implemented in schools to create conducive environment for learning and experimentation. Joining the ‘Abhiyan’, the Cluster Resource Centre Govt. Model SS School Sita Nagar too has initiated several steps to motivate the students of this vast rural region.

In the chain of activities, a Science, Mathematics, Art and craft Exhibition was organized today. The deputy Education Officer of the zone, Shri Rishi Prasad Pandey inaugurated the exhibition. He interacted with the students and appreciated their efforts which they have put up in their work. Addressing the students, he said that all the schools of this rural region are conducting activities to inspire students to transform the theoretical concepts into real life situations practically. Shri Pandey called upon the students not to hesitate to ask questions or to seek guidance from their experienced teachers, in turning their imagination into reality.

The Pradhan of the Gram Panchayat Sita Nagar, Shri Biplab Mondol also had special words for the students.  Lauding the students for their enthusiasm, he said that it gave him immense pleasure when he saw the small Girl student Sharmitha Hawladar of the far flung village Smith Island participating in this Exhibition. He appreciated the students of Bangla Medium Government Middle School Sita Nagar for their sensitivity for taking up the projects related to Disaster preparedness in their locality. He assured the school Administration that his Panchayat will extend all possible help for the welfare of the students of their village.

The overall In charge of the CRC Exhibition Shri Peter Arokiyasamy, Senior Physics Teacher informed that total 56 exhibits have been displayed, of which the appointed jury will select the best ones for the Block and state level exhibitions which will be the next stage under the ‘Abhiyan’. He said that students were encouraged to use the waste materials and easily available local resources to develop their projects.

The Cluster Resource Person, Shri Anand informed that the Sita Nagar CRC has total 16 feeder schools from the areas including Pashchim Sagar, Parangara, remote villages like Ganesh Nagar-2, Smith Island, Shanti Nagar and Gandhi Nagar.

Many members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions, Officers from the Government establishments and parents visited the Exhibition hall to see the innovative endeavours of the students.
