Port Blair, Nov. 21: It again a proud moment for Islanders as R Kashthuri Bhai, a student of class VIII of GDMS Middle Point, Port Blair has brought laurels to the A&N Islands by winning the First Prize in the Best Female player category in the 1st TMCA OPEN FIDE RATING CHESS TOURNAMENT 2022, held in Pune, Maharashtra from 15.11.2022 to 20.11.2022.
Kashthuri was awarded with a trophy and cash prize for her brilliant performance. Around 220 players from different states across India participated in this prestigious event.
