Port Blair, Dec. 13: PS Aberdeen police has cracked a burglary case within hours, which occurred in the ANIIDCO Wine shop at Junglighat, during the intervening night of 10-11/12/2022 by arresting one burglar and recovering stolen IMFL bottles.

The burglary case was reported at PS Aberdeen on 11/12/2022 at 1300 hours. As per the complaint, on 10/12/2022, Manager, ANIIDCO Wine shop, Junglighat had closed their shop at about 2120 hours and on 11/12/2022 at 0820 hours, when they came to open the shop, they found that the shutter of the shop was opened and 04 carton boxes containing 180 ml bottle of IMFL worth Rs 22,080/- were stolen. Upon this, an FIR was registered and investigation entrusted to SI R.Dhiraj Kishen of the PS.

A team was constituted consisting of SI R. Dhiraj Kishen (I.O), HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PCs S.N Rao, Sandeep Lakra, Asish Singh and Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Insp. Girish Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen for the search of the accused and stolen property. The team swung into action and working professionally, nabbed the accused person, a resident of Brookshabad and recovered 119 stolen IMFL bottles within 04 hours of reporting of the crime.

The entire investigation took place under the supervision of Sh. Sunny Gupta, IPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman.
