Port Blair, Dec. 16: A meeting of Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board was held on Nov.9. The Board unanimously approved 1247 pending claims of the beneficiary workmen under various welfare schemes. The claims of 1155 beneficiaries amounting to Rs. 2.35 Crores have been successfully transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts whose Aadhaar were seeded with their bank accounts. The remaining claims could not be released as the registered beneficiary’s Aadhaar was not seeded with their savings bank account which is pre-requisite for transfer of benefits under PFMS Portal.

A communication in this regard has been already sent to the registered beneficiaries at their address through Post and they were also informed over phone and requested to immediately contact their bank with Aadhaar so that their account is seeded with Aadhaar.

The list of beneficiaries whose payment has been released and the list of beneficiaries whose payment could not be transferred to their bank account have been uploaded in the Labour Department’s Official Portal https://labour.and.nic.in/ for the information and guidance of all concerned registered beneficiaries. The beneficiaries whose Aadhaar is not seeded with their bank account have been requested to seed the same at the earliest and necessary confirmation in this regard may be communicated to Board Office on priority so that their benefits are transferred to their bank account. For further clarification, if any, the beneficiaries may contact Telephone Number 03192-230157 between 8.30 AM & 5.30 PM on all working days.
