Port Blair, Jan 17: As a part of the National Programme of the AICC, BHARAT JODO YATRA was conducted in North & Middle Andaman District covering a distance of 201 kms. The Yatra started from Diglipur (Hathi Level) on the 6th of January 2023 and concluded in Baratang Island on the 12th of January 2023. Each Day, the yatra ended with a Public Meeting and interaction with the general public. The Yatra created a lot of awareness on the activities of Shri. Rahul Gandhi and also on the issues being faced by the nation at large.
Many issues being faced by our Islanders were also taken up and discussed in the Bharat Jodo Yatra Meeting. A large number of people joined the Bharat Jodo yatra at different villages and encouraged the yatra. The Permanent Yatra Members numbering about 45 completed the Yatra successfully from Diglipur to Baratang which inculcated great enthusiasm among the youths and elders of various villages of North and Middle Andaman Islands.
The Yatra ended with a grand Public Meeting at Baratang Island where senior Leaders of the Congress Party addressed the gathering. The Yatra received a very good response all over the Islands.
