Port Blair, Jan 27: The Andaman and Nicobar Police celebrated a week long programmes on the occasion of Police Raising Day from 16th to 22nd January, 2023. To mark the occasion, various programmes were organized by the Police Stations of North & Middle Andaman District. As part of the celebration, cleanliness drives were organized at all premises of Police Station.
To facilitate senior citizens all Police Stations of the district organized door to door basic medical checkup with the help of health workers.
As a mark of observation, Essay/Drawing competition were organised at school and Nukkad Natak were also organized on the topic POCSO, Cyber Crime, Drug Abuse and Domestic Violence for awareness of school students.
During the occasion fruit bearing saplings were planted by all Police Stations. Further, various awareness programmes/bike rally were also organized by the Police Stations displaying banners to sensitize the local youths about Drug Abuse, Traffic rules and regulations, ATM fraud and Cybercrime etc.
