Port Blair, Feb 14: CPI (M) Kalighat Area Committee conducted a Mass Dharna at Kalighat bazaar today demanding immediate action by A&N Administration on various local demands of the people of North Andaman. Addressing the participants in the Mass Dharna, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee, who was on a tour of North Andaman, said that the A & N Administration has turned a blind eye towards the problems and demands of the people. Rural roads in North and Middle Andaman District are in a worst condition. A large stretch of ATR/NH4 is yet to be completed and the NHIDCL, a Public sector undertaking directly under the central government, has utterly failed to complete the work entrusted to it 7 years ago.
