Port Blair, Feb 19: The Directorate of Health Services and SHS-Immunization, NHM with the technical Support of World Health Organization -NPSP conducted a three days training for Medical Officers on Routine Immunization from Feb.13 to 15, 2023 in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Industry.

Around 24 Doctors from different Health Institutions of this UT were imparted training on Revised Routine Immunization Schedule, Cold Chain Management, AEFI, eVIN, U-WIN and Vaccine Preventable Disease Surveillance. The training was imparted by Dr. Deepak Kumar Kar, SMO, WHO-NPSP, Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health), Dr. B. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Malaria), Dr. Rohit, SPO-eVIN and Dr Tapash Kumar Dakuya SEP/Consultant (Immunization).

The training was focused on improving immunization services and to provide better Immunization services across the Islands. The training concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
