Port Blair, Feb 20: The Department of Fisheries in association with the National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Dollygunj and with the Financial Assistance of National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), Hyderabad under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) proposes to organize a three days training programme on ‘Open Sea Cage Culture’ from March 2-4, 2023.

The training programme includes classroom lectures and Hands on Training on fabrication of cages, installation, stocking of seeds, feeding, maintenance and field visits involving 25 selected participants from A&N Islands. The candidates would be selected on first come first serve basis. The selected trainees will be provided daily allowance and travelling allowance as per the approved norms of NFDB, Hyderabad.
