Port Blair, Feb 20: The Bhartiya Janta Party, Andaman & Nicobar Islands organized an event on Union Budget 2023-2024 “Know Your Budget” on 18th February 2023 at BJP Bhawan, Middle Point. The event was aimed to highlight the various opportunities and features of Budget 2023. The program was attended by dignitaries, party members and supporters. The event is organized under the leadership of Shri. B L Santhosh - National General Secretary (BJP), Shri. Sunil Bansal - National General Secretary (BJP) and Shri, Sushil Kumar Modi – MP, Rajya Sabha, Bihar.
The introductory remarks were given by Shri. Anil Tiwari, Founder Member and State Secretary, BJP A & N Islands. Dr. Dev Das, State Secretary and Co-Convenor of Know Your Budget, gave the welcome address. The Chief Guest of the event Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy, Ex Parliamentarian, Telangana State, addressed the members regarding the salient feature of the budget and its reflection to various sectors and it has been planned, keeping the interest of every section of society in mind
Dr. Poonam Arora, Convenor “Know Your Budget” highlighted the impact of Budget 2023-24 on the various sector and apprised them on the benefits of various scheme will reach all regions and citizens, particularly our youth, women, farmers, OBCs, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes.
She also briefed them on the Nukkad Corner Sabha on “Know Your Budget” which was organized to highlight the Union Budget 2023-2024 for the general public of North and Middle Andaman Districts and South Andaman Districts from 2nd – 9th February 2023. A budget rath was created for the Nukkad Sabha and the sabha was held at Uttara, Kadamtala, Bakuntala, Billyground, Diglipur, Chouldhari, Collinpur and Guptapara reaching out all the panchayats and similar events needs to be organized to reach the islanders and spread awareness of the new and progressive budget 2023. The event ended with the vote of thanks presented by Shri. Sana Rao, State Vice President, BJP A & N Islands
