Port Blair, Feb 24: Under the provisions of Rule 4.3(a) 7(a) to (c) of the Excise Policy & 9 (iii) of the bar guidelines issued by the Administration vide Office Order No.4192 dated 18/11/2008 respectively, the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman District orders the following day to be observed as ‘Dry Day’ in connection with the Bye Election against the casual vacancies of Gram Panchayat Ward Member Constituencies Diglipur -3 of Gram Panchayat Diglipur under Diglipur Tehsil and Karmatang -3 of Gram Panchayat Rampur under Mayabunder Tehsil.

27/02/2023 (Monday): Polling Day

28/02/2023 (Tuesday): Counting Day

No liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and establishments selling/serving liquor shall be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever on the aforesaid day.

People are also requested to keep themselves away from consuming any kind of spirituous and fermented liquor/wines or display the same for sale on the above date.

This order is applicable to IMFL vending licensees ie., ANIIDCO, CSD Canteen, all Defence Canteen, Police Mess and all private bar licensees functioning in North & Middle Andaman District.
