Port Blair, March 1: To celebrate ‘5th Poshan Pakhawada’, a ‘Poshan Rally’ was conducted under ICDS Project Rangat today. The rally was flagged off by the Assistant Commissioner, Rangat Sub Division, Smti. Sapna Priya, along with Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Rangat, Smti S Laxmi Devi. The objective of the celebration of ‘Poshan Pakhawada’ is focused on ‘Bharatiya Poshan Krish Kosh’ and ‘Growth Monitoring’. Poshan Abhiyaan aims to address the challenge of malnutrition in a mission mode and also facilitate outdoor publicity through flipbook. The rally was participated by CDPO Rangat, Mukhya Sevikas, Poshan Abhiyaan Staff, PMMVY Staffs, ICDS Staffs and Anganwadi Workers/Helpers under ICDS Project Rangat.
Similar programmes were also organized at various Anganwadi Centres under ICDS Project Rangat to enlighten the community towards nutrition and introduce millets in their diet to be healthy.
