Port Blair, March 3: In suspension of Order No.59 dated 16/01/2023 issued by the Directorate of Tourism, A&N Administration, the A&N Administration has revised the rate for certified tourists guide for visiting Natural Bridge at Laxmanpur-II, Shaheed Dweep. Accordingly, the revised rates are as mentioned below:

Tourists 1–5 Nos. - Guide Fee @ Rs. 250/- - 50-60 minuntes - All sites

Each Additional Tourist above 5 Nos. - Guide Fee @ Rs. 50/-       

           

This step has been taken by the Tourism Department to conserve and protect the fragile eco-system at this unique terrain. The visiting tourists /visitors /general public have therefore been requested to abide by the following Do's & Don'ts and co-operate for the conservation of marine ecosystem. Only the Certified guide from IP&T Department is allowed to take the tourists. If any guide is indulging in any activities disturbing the flora and fauna, necessary action as deemed fit will be initiated.

Do’s

Engage in a responsible behavior while entering the area.

Read more about the marine organisms before entering the area and educate your friend while walking.

Check the tide table or get the information from tourist guide before visiting the area as it is accessible only during low tide.

Remove any kind of abandoned fishing gears, as it leads to destructive fishing.

Walk only on sandy part, do not step on any living resources.

Don’ts

Do not enter the area during high tide.

Do not litter the zone, as it is harmful to marine organism.

Do not walk on live coral reefs.

Do not touch or disturb the corals, fish and any other marine life when you enter into their habitat.

Tourist should not pick anything like stones, shells, dead corals or living samples from the area.

Do not feed the animals/fish.

Do not hunt or catch any kind of living resources.
