Port Blair, March 16: As part of organizing Open Sea Swimming competition from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep to RGWS Complex on 18th March 2023, the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs has successfully conducted the briefing-cum-orientation programme of swimming for the participants in the Swimming Pool of Netaji Stadium Complex today.
Altogether, 215 participants appeared for medical examination and their trials were conducted. Briefing session-cum-orientation was also conducted where participants were briefed about the rules and norms of the event and safety measures in case of any emergency or panic during the competition.
All the qualified participants have been informed to mandatorily assemble at Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex Aberdeen Jetty at 4 am on 18th March, 2023 sharp to take part in the event.
