Port Blair, April 10: Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A&N Islands has raised the issue of National Highway with the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration immediately after his recent visit to N&M Andaman District. The President has expressed his concern and anguish to the Administration for the delay and slow progress of the work of National Highway.
In response to the same, the Chief Secretary has convened a high level meeting on 10th April 2023 in the conference Hall of Secretariat where all the concerned officials of National Highway, the contractors and Deputy Commissioner of N&M Andaman and South Andaman were present alongwith Shri. Ajoy Bairagi.
In the meeting, the Chief Secretary has given specific instructions to all the concerned authorities of NH and Deputy Commission to complete the work and make it motorable before the onset of monsoon. Bairagi has expressed gratitude to the Chief Secretary Shri. Keshav Chandra for taking expeditious action by convening a high level meeting and issuing direction to all the concerned for timely completion of the pending work on NH before the monsoon and making it motorable.
